T $. Love the visual! I imagined the situation in a pretty similar way but I like you showed their initial finding similarities (and gradual separation).
As someone who thinks in a very logical way, this cartoon definitely shows my feelings when I read free verse poetry. Math people always want just one right answer, and as your comic shows, often poetry has multiple interpretations. Overall, this is a humerous (and very accurate) cartoon!

I enjoyed reading a happier story where Math and Poetry began at Day 4's frame and went backwards xD, finding out that they can resolve their differences.
This is very interesting! I like how you took an alternate route to explaining what you think would happen. I think you speak a lot of truths in very few words, and I think it works really well!
Cute. I love that things start out so harmoniously and end in a slapping match (both of which are conveyed very expressively, despite the simplicity of the drawings).
NICE I like that you used graph paper as a very subtle math-y thing and that Poetry talks 2x much as Math. I also love how you portrayed the road trip as taking place fairly statically w only the days changing. Creative and funny (j like you Tyra <3)!
I liked this it, especially since its very accurate and sums up about everything major that comes to mind with this prompt. The drawings were really cute and I liked the graph paper effect.

ReplyDeleteLol, Tyra, this is great. Your drawings are really good (better than I could ever draw) and I like the paragraph you included. Nice!!

ReplyDeleteNice job illustrating the differences and similarities between math and poetry. I liked the drawings and the ending made me laugh.
